Best of Both Worlds Walks
Experience the beauty and solitude of the Kosciuszko National Park with the 'Best of Both Worlds' guided trek featuring a night in-between your two, day walks staying at Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa.
On day one, follow a trail from Guthega Village through sub-alpine terrain to a suspension bridge crossing the mighty Snowy River. A continuous four kilometre ascent leads to the shoulder of Mount Twynam, the country's third highest peak. Descend into the upper Blue Lake cirque and onwards to the deep waters of the lake itself.
On day two, depart Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa to Charlotte Pass, following the Old Summit Road to Rawson's Pass before reaching the summit of Mount Kosciuszko via the fortified stone shelter, 'Seamans Hut'. On return, descend to glacial Lake Cootapatamba via South Kosciuszko Ridge and climb to the high ground of the Ramshead where stacks of granite boulders stand precariously perched.
