Divers will marvel at the colourful corals and diversity of fish in the crystal clear waters of Lord Howe Island, a World Heritage-listed natural attraction 600 km east of the Australian mainland. An underwater paradise for divers, Lord Howe Island and its marine park are truly a unique location to explore. Howea Divers is a leading dive shop on the island and conducts daily dive trips to the area’s best locations. At the crossroads of the Pacific and fed by five major ocean currents, Lord Howe Island offers divers an unusual mix of temperate and tropical marine species.
The island supports the world’s most southerly coral reef. From beginners to advance divers, Howea Divers has a range of PADI courses. Various dive packages are available up to 10 dives. The majority of dives operate daily at 9.30am, 11.30am and 1.30pm. You can fly from Sydney to the island in less than two hours. Qantas has year-round services. Seasonal flights direct from Port Macquarie, north of Sydney, operate from February to June and September to December.
